ARTIST PROFILE: M. LEX LeQUIA
Lex LeQuia, a.k.a "The Reverend", is a proud
co-owner of VOODOO TATTOO STUDIO in Big Lake, MN. Lex's career as a tattoo artist was launched in the
Minneapolis area where he gained adoring and adored fans over the years as
"The Reverend." His
capacity to transcend an abstract concept into a vision of beauty and art has
earned him a loyal following, which he humbly refers to as his
"faithful."
Having gained widespread
exposure as an internationally distributed tattoo flash design artist (see bottom
of page), Lex's
distinctive artistic renderings are sought after.
Areas of expertise include freehand tattoos and custom designs.
Known for his gentle touch and quick healing tattoos, he's also one of
the fastest custom designers in the business.
He is often able to create a client's visual desires on the spot with a
few sketches, appealing to even the most discriminating eye.
Formally educated and certified in technical design and illustration, his
artistic experience includes everything from designing company logos to science
fantasy magazine illustration. In
2003, Lex received a prestigious invitation for membership to the exclusive
National Tattoo Association.
At his studio, Lex
especially enjoys working on gray shade designs, exotic dragons, and
color-intensive designs as well. He's
created body-part unique custom designs such as sleeves, knee patterns, and full
back pieces, virtually impossible to duplicate.
